In Africa Foundation is the platform for empowerment of individuals and communities in Africa's rural regions.
The foundation's purpose is to create employment and sustainable, independent enterprises that actively involve and benefit the poor and other underserved populations. We operate at grassroots level and our efforts span community enterprise, village-based infrastructure development, skills training and education, and primary industry development programs across sub-Saharan Africa.
We offer direct assistance and support to help develop individuals, community groups and small rural businesses producing art, craft, décor and related consumer products utilising traditional skills. Our unique approach ensures sustainability by matching market researched and campaign-driven global demand to the supply of a wide range of products created by the many enterprises we actively support.
Our work transcends philanthropic gestures or charity initiatives. It is about creating innovative strategy and projects using the skills, expertise and core competencies of the African people to bring about lasting positive social change.
